Introducing The Stack Report
A new home for practical writing on pallet patterns, case design, load stability, and trailer utilization, plus a live wire of the industry news worth your time.
Most of what gets written about palletizing is either a vendor brochure or a spec sheet. Neither helps much when you're standing at the end of a line trying to decide whether a pattern that fits two more cases per layer is going to arrive at the DC in one piece.
The Stack Report is where we'll write about the part in between: the engineering judgment calls that turn a case size and a pallet footprint into a load that ships well.
What you'll find here
- Pattern fundamentals. Ti-Hi, interlocking, column stacks versus block and pinwheel patterns, and when each one earns its place.
- Case and corrugate decisions. How small changes to case dimensions move the numbers on the pallet, and on the trailer.
- Load stability. Overhang, compression strength, and why the pattern with the most cases isn't always the right one.
- Trailer and freight math. Working backward from the truck to the pallet.
- Product updates. What's new in Betsel Stack and why we built it.
The Industry Wire
Below our articles you'll find the Industry Wire, a running feed of packaging, palletizing, and supply chain headlines from across the trade press. It refreshes itself every hour, and every headline links straight to the original publisher.
